Job description

DRVISION Technologies LLC, a Nikon group company, seeks a member to join our high-performance algorithm team developing cutting edge machine learning and image analysis software (primarily Aivia). This is a regular full-time staff position for employment after probation.


Founded in 1999, DRVISION holds 50 patents and has received over 13 million USD from US science funding agencies. Our AI powered visualization and image analysis software Aivia enables scientific advancement by creating and deploying state of the art teachable image analysis tools, immersive image visualization and interactions. DRVISION’s image based decision and machine learning technologies have been successfully applied for broad applications in basic bioscience research, drug discovery, disease diagnosis, and industrial measurements and inspections. Simple to learn and operate, DRVISION software provides everything needed to accurately and reliably detect, track, measure, discover, classify, monitor and score objects and events in microscopy movies, X-ray images and semiconductor wafer inspection systems. DRVISION’s image recognition technology development is partially funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) under multiple Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) programs.




You will be a key member of the algorithm development team developing, improving, and testing machine learning, image processing, pattern analysis, and object tracking algorithms.

  • Formulate, develop, and implement:

    • Deep learning and machine learning functions

    • 2D/3D image processing functions​

    • 2D/3D computer vision and multiple view geometry functions

    • 2D/3D pattern tracking and kinetic analysis functions

  • Speed up and improve existing DRVISION core technology algorithms​

  • Support U.S. Patent applications as well as SBIR applications and project executions


Minimum level of education
  • Master of Science (MS) in the following fields of study:

    • Electrical Engineering, imaging science, computer science, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering or applied mathematics​


Qualification and skills
  • Strong command in 2D and 3D image processing, computer vision and multiple view geometry

  • Working experience in machine learning and deep learning

  • Working knowledge of C++ and/or C# programming

  • Microscopy image analysis

  • Pattern recognition

  • Object tracking and kinetic analysis

  • 3D volume / surface rendering, visualization, and graphics

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work well in a team environment

  • Matlab and scripting experience

  • Ability to quickly learn new software features and tools

  • Flexible work schedule
